Parallel Distributed Infrastructure for Minimization of Energy

Dr. Anita Sobe

Anita Sobe is currently post-doc researcher at the Institute of Informatics at the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland working on energy-efficient large-scale parallel and distributed systems. Before, she was senior researcher at the Institute of Networked and Embedded Systems (self-organizing smart grids), and research- and teaching-assistant at the Institute of Information technology (self-organizing multimedia delivery) at the Alpen-Ardria Universität Klagenfurt. She graduated from the Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt, Austria with a Master’s degree in computer science in 2008 and with a PhD towards the topic of “Self-organizing Multimedia Delivery” in 2012. The work on her thesis is part of a cooperative funded project of the Lakeside Research Labs GmbH and the Alpen-Adria Universität Klagenfurt. She has industry experience due to her internship at the IBM Research Laboratory in Zurich, Switzerland (2006) and her internship at NEC Europe Ltd in Heidelberg, Germany (2007/2008).
